CEDARS FOOD PARK AT DALLAS HERITAGE VILLAGE LAUNCHES WITH GRAND OPENING BASH, FEATURING 18 OF DALLAS’ BEST GOURMET FOOD TRUCKS
Saturday July 28, 2012 from 5pm – 10pm
Cedars Food Park at Dallas Heritage Village will hold a grand opening bash, Saturday, July 28, from 5 to 10 p.m., at 1515 S. Harwood, Dallas, Texas 75215, launching Dallas’ first food truck venue in a park setting. The event, representing the beginning of a unique collaboration between food trucks and Dallas Heritage Village, will feature 18 of Dallas’ best gourmet food trucks, live entertainment, and beer and wine from local establishments. Admission is free. Food prices range from $2:00-$9:00, with a portion of the proceeds going to Dallas Heritage Village.

Deep Ellum Urban Gardens (DUG) breaks ground this Saturday, March 31st at 2620 Canton St. in lower east Downtown Dallas. The Deep Ellum Community Association project is a community-funded garden aimed at providing health, beauty, and food for an active and inspired community.
RSVP for the first official DUG work day and don’t forget to bring or borrow 1.) a pair of gloves, and 2.) a power drill.

Things are heating up in the Metroplex’s most progressive and eclectic neighborhood. The Deep Ellum Arts Festival is back in it’s 18th rendition and as always, exemplifies everything that makes this area rock. Six blocks of Deep Ellum’s Main Street will be transformed April 6, 7, and 8 to captivate all senses for a free, community event.
Those who attend will see over 200 visual and decorative artists, over 100 bands performing on five stages, and incredible food and drinks from participating area restaurants and bars.
Aside from festival concessions, restaurants participating include Anvil, Lemongrass, LaGrange, Buzzbrews, St. Pete’s Dancing Marlin, Cane Rosso, Mama Faye’s, The Free Man, Zini’s Pizza, and LaBella Cakes and Cupcakes.
Don’t forget about Sunday’s Pet Parade where hundreds of pet owners take their “Best Friends” on a tail-wagging promenade down Main Street.
